  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 9x13-inch baking pan Grease or line with parchment paper
  • 1 Whisk For mixing pudding
  • 1 Spatula For spreading batter

Ingredients

Essential Ingredients

  • 1 box Brownie mix (18 oz, any brand)
  • 2 Ripe bananas (Pick bananas with brown spots for sweetness)
  • 1 package Instant banana pudding mix (3.4 oz package)
  • 3 Large eggs (Can substitute with flaxseed mix for vegan option)
  • ½ cup Melted unsalted butter (Can be swapped with coconut oil or applesauce)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (Optional, enhances flavor)
  • Optional Mix-ins (Chocolate chips, crushed vanilla wafers, or nuts)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the brownie mix, mashed bananas, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Avoid overmixing.
1 box Brownie mix, 2 Ripe bananas, 3 Large eggs, ½ cup Melted unsalted butter, 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Flat lay of banana pudding brownie ingredients, including bananas, brownie mix, banana pudding mix, eggs, and butter on a marble countertop.
  • Whisk the pudding mix with cold milk according to the package instructions. Let it sit to thicken.
1 package Instant banana pudding mix
  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan and spread evenly. Add a layer of banana pudding on top, spreading it out completely. Pour the remaining brownie batter over and swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with crumbs but no wet batter.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas: They are sweeter and easier to mash, which makes the brownies more flavorful and moist.
  • Avoid overmixing: Mix only until the ingredients are combined to keep the brownies soft.
  • Check the baking time: Start checking the brownies at 30 minutes. Baking too long can make them dry.
  • Cool completely before slicing: Warm brownies are harder to cut and may fall apart.
  • Add your own twist: Include chocolate chips, nuts, or cookies to make the brownies unique.
  • Store leftovers the right way: Keep brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate them for a week.
